Aa a result of the collaborative logo creation, our pupils, Greek and Italian ones, came up with the idea to create a poem. Thus, they wrote the lyrics collaboratively in the form of a chain writing activity. It is titled “Our inclusive school” and you can read it below.

As we love our school, we want it to be cool

all children to feel happy, acceptance is our tool.

In case you feel sad or someone hurt your heart,

we will be on hand to save you from all harm.

Whenever you need to cry, we guide you out of your dark side.

We are in a family, a team, together we shine.

Together we can, united we stand

let’s love our classmates, let’s walk hand in hand.

Trust is a leap into the void.

Fake friends you should avoid.
True friends welcome you as you are, unique, 
In your mind and physique.

A friend’s hug is the biggest treasure.

So hug me many times, when you want

and don’t be ashamed, don’t hesitate.

Youth lives are the same:

dark and difficult days follow sunny and beautiful days.

Let’s spread tolerance and take care of each other.

Throughout the school we will echo only laughter.

As a follow up to this activity, the pupils took it a step further and undertook to set their poem to music with the support of their music teachers. The teachers provided them with the necessary digital tools and the pupils contributed with their inspiration. They proposed and shared melody motives (https://padlet.com/18dimkar/our-melodies-let-s-share-our-melodies-uthl02gwtc2x6ors), voted for the best melody, composed music all together in the same piano collaboratively, sang and recorded their part of the song and finally edited the song as one and presented it.
