For the needs of our project, a Dance Movement Therapy Workshop titled “Moving the Fairytales, I learn and create” took place in the 18th Primary School of Karditsa from 20th to 21st November 2023. The invited expert was Konstantia Stavrou, a Dance Therapist/ Mental Health Counsellor and the aim was to empower the pupils, the teachers and the parents and to promote their participation without exclusion.
The action had both an educational/cognitive and a creative/artistic character. Using as our tools our bodies and its movement, fairytale/speech and its kinesiological depiction, we played and interacted with the team, pupils came in contact with their body, their feelings, the basic values of life and they got connected with each other in a different, more substantial way.
The ultimate aim of this action was to inspire pupils and teachers towards artistic creation (depiction via painting, story writing, theatrical play etc.). Also, to serve as a starting point for a creative activity that will be built upon throughout the school year by pupils and teachers. To produce an artistic end product serving in a substantial and comprehensive way our Erasmus+ KA210 Project. Thus, the final product of the action has been the starting point for the creation of a collaborative story.
